Before, it was the NEXT BIG PLACE for hipsters.
Now, it seems like everything is closing up and moving to the suburbs (now referred to as "the internet"). Royal T was one of the first to go. Gramercy York closed up last year. Bar&Garden is still open but was closed when we walked by there for a little Christmas cheer. Washington Blvd. is no longer the Melrose Place that it was even last year when we strolled the street and spent $300. This time, we bought nothing because there was nothing to buy. Next year, I don't think we'll bother making the effort.
Pinches Tacos used to be in your face pincheness. But someone told them to take down their big neon signage. Now, I could take my Mexican grandmother there and she won't be offended. What's the point?
