HOTEL CARNAVALET
Proust's bedroom (I wonder what he reads at night)
The king's cell
The Hotel Carnavalet is the museum of the city. It is four stories crammed with artifacts from before Paris was Paris to the modern city of today. There is one whole floor devoted to the Revolution. There was so much to see that I barely made it it through the Terror. Many of the artifacts are connected with daily life in the capital.
We found this wonderful museum as we were wandering around the Marais.
