I love visiting the Municipal Gallery. One of the highlights for me is Francis Bacon's studio. Bacon was born in Ireland but lived most of his life in London. When he died, his family gave the contents of his studio to the museum who reinstalled the more than 7000 items exactly as they were. The museum owns 6 of his works which are displayed close to the studio. While I was there, a video of an interview by Melvyn Bragg was being played.
