The Golfy where we stayed with Vladimir in 2006 has been transformed into a luxury golf resort and restaurant. The buildings where we stayed have had their interiors redone and now serve as the suites for the hotel. The club house has a new upscale restaurant, L'Alcôve. We stopped in on the way back from checking the storm damage at La Blanchière. We had a beer on the terrasse (Leffe blond) before heading home to Montsoreau.
Karen's fig tree took the brunt of the high winds during the storm. One large fig-laden branch bit the dust.
