IN THE BEDROOM

Rich finally moved back into his own bedroom.
He spent two days cleaning, mopping, dusting, and moving furniture.  Everything about it was more than we thought it would be.  But I think he would definitely agree that it was all worth it in the end.

The walls look beautiful, with a soft, warm glow in daylight.  The whole room is brighter even though there is only one window and one glass door.  And at night, it seems like the stones radiate heat and keep the room cozy.

Constant said it best:  "It is like you are living in the chateau because you have the same stones and the same beautiful pointing as the castle."

Playlist:

Baby, I Love Your Way
Peter Frampton
(a different version of this song was played on the soundtrack to the movie "In The Bedroom", director Todd Field, 2001)

So beautiful! What a gorgeous job. Can't wait to see it.
I just picked a load of Calville de Blanc apples from a graft to the Red Delicious tree. I understand that they are typically used in Tarte Tartin. I'm reviewing recipes and thinking about you! See you in November.
